![]() ![]() Yesterday I installed Fedora 10 on the same system and got about 1200 FPS in glxgears out-of-the-box! Changing AccelMethod to XAA in nf made 2D graphics like switching desktops and draging windows alot faster, but glxgears still sucks at about 200 FPS.ĭisabling CPU scaling to force full CPU freq gives better glxgears results, and running with the VESA driver gives about the same performance which tells me hardware acceleration does not seem to be used at all :( Ubunutu 8.10 works fine out of the box, however graphics is very slow. I have a Dell E6500 with intel GMA 4500MHD graphics and am experiencing the same kind of problems. If someone got the real drivers working please point the way!
